To start off, I would like to express that this module was a very hectic and emotional journey. Since the beginning of our semester, there were many factors that prevented us from having classes like how two of our tutorials were during public holidays. To make it worse, due to some family issues, I had to take leave on some lectures and tutorials as well. So when you add all that up, personally I think it's definitely harder to be consistent with this module because of the many setbacks. So it was truly up to me to be responsible with my progress.
That being said, although it was a tough 14 weeks. I still enjoyed IVN compared to my other modules this semester. Why? I guess I just prefer being able to express my creativity in the projects given. Our tasks were simple, straightforward, fun and most importantly engaging. It really puts our skills and knowledge to test. So because all three of the projects had similar criteria with added elements, it was honestly the only module that kept me from having to relearn what I did from week 1 while I was closer to week 14. It also helps that our lecturer allows us to express ourselves and not restrict us to specific requirements. He's lenient but sets a direct path for us to focus on our module learnings.
Overall, a few things I learnt about myself throughout this module is; I lack in creativity and execution. I say this in all of my module reflections, truthfully I don't really touch on design when I'm not working on assignments. So I guess that's where I need to improve. As such, because creativity and execution is basically the fundamental of every design project, it was harder for me to proceed with the IVN tasks because they were mostly focused on individual expressions. However, I do think that these projects helped me realise what I need to work on and how I should proceed in the future.
