Reflection

Experiences
Overall, I think advance typo is a module that taught me a lot of things. It really clarifies the basics of design and helps us understand that knowing the basis of fonts and typefaces are very important in design. Furthermore, it was my first time working with mockups so it was fun to be able to properly showcase and apply our artworks into an actual object. I particularly enjoyed task 1B from the creative aspect, and task 2 was interesting to learn about self-branding. Task 3 however, I think I struggled a lot with font creation; nonetheless it was a good experience and definitely challenges our creativity and design knowledge as well as our acquired skills.

Observations
From what I've learned, I realised that poster  designs or any other digital artwork is more than just pretty art on a canvas. The typography design, size, choice and placement is equally as important to enhance the overall artwork. It's also important to know that there should always be a structure or theme in order to create a coherent and aesthetically pleasing design/brand. Also all the tasks in this module made me realise that typeface can be extracted from anything and properly refined to create an idea.

Findings
This module really challenged us in terms of being responsible and having good time management. Also I like that the tasks and blog requirements need us to be organised and proper would is good for future references. I think I also acquired more skills in Illustrator and Photoshop while experimenting and exploring the tasks.
