Project 01: 360 degrees Video Experiment
Instructions
Students (in pairs) are to produce an experimental 360 degree on a topic of our choice. It should emphasize on story and/or technic experimentation. We should also include high quality sound, not using low quality recordings, dialogues or narration.
Ideation
Initially, Qian Yue and I both decided to brainstorm different ideas to see which one has more potential with an interesting 360 degrees video concept.
My idea:
- To portray a "Restless mind", by having a person run in all four directions towards and away from the 360 camera. The concept is to highlight mental health and present it in a way that shows that no matter how much someone runs, it's not possible for them to escape.
Qian Yue's idea:
- To film a "bug view" angle, showing how the world looks from a bug's POV.
Filming/Footage
We ultimately decided to film both ideas and decide which one would be more fitting for our project.

However, after reviewing the footages and attending tutorial classes. We settled on Qian Yue's Bug view idea for our final Project 01 video.
Export and Composition
During tutorial, Mr.Ridhwan taught us how to import and edit 360 videos in Premier Pro. We were also told to experiment with the immersive video effects as well as apply the VR Rotate Sphere to help us mark the movements and positions of each footage.
Qian Yue and I both decided to experiment with the videos, so that both of us could learn and experience how to edit a 360 video. I played around with a few footages, assembled them to make a coherent story.
Submission
Ultimately, we settled on using Qian Yue's Video for our final project 01 video submission.
