Reflection
Experience
Overall, I would say I learned a lot from this module and found it quite enjoyable the more that I continued with the tasks. At first, I was very unsure on how to do many things as I was still new to the applications and typo itself was not something that I found interesting. However, having to constantly show progress and update our blog gave me the chance to really be consistent and take responsibility for myself.
Observations
Typography is not just about fonts or typefaces, but also about the principle and organisation in design. I realised that including text in designs is not just simple writing a word, resizing it and calling it a day. There's so much more to put into consideration, like the size, the font, the spacing, the leading. It's important to ensure that we as designers know the ways and key to grasping the main point or factor of our design. Typography is not only for showing information, it is also about knowing how to incorporate ideas into designs in a organised way.
Findings
There are still many things that I have yet to learn, but one thing is for sure; I have much more appreciation for the art of typography. Although, I won't go as far as to say that I found love for it, I can still certainly say that I will continue to understand and comprehend the different aspects in Typography. This module and the tasks that we were given, helped me see that I still have a lack of touch for typography.
